Grow in Spirit
Write Down fruits of the Spirit on white board.
Ask who knows what this group of words is
Galatians 5:22-23
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in your lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
Love. Joy. Peace
Patience. Kindness. Goodness
Faithfulness. Gentleness. Self-control
PEACE>> Proverbs 15:1
A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
Clip a close pin to each kids tongue… Experiment talking and saying tongue twisters with it hooked on. Explain that this is like the guard we need to put on our tongues… so that we can give gentle answers. God doesn’t want us to back talk or give ugly words to people but to be gentle in the way we speak.
LOVE… Try to show someone you love them this week. Love is very important these days because a lot of people don’t have it. So SHOW SOME LOVE!!
Write prayer requests… a new revised list
HOMEWORK!!!
Read Galatians 5:22-23 everyday. Decide which is your favorite, the hardest, the easiest, and write it down in your journals. Pick one fruit of the Spirit and work on growing in that fruit this week and we’ll talk about it next week!!
