Grow in Love
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (New International Version)
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails…..
Close your eyes… think of someone you really love… have you done anything to show that person you love them? This month? This week? Yesterday? Today?
Who knows the ULTIMATE reason Jesus died on the cross??
Because He loved us so much that He wanted us to be with Him Forever!!
The “One Time” game:
Read the 1Cor. Scripture again… and for every word that love is go around the room telling about a time when you have been that word with someone.
By raising your hands… Who has a problem being some of those words sometimes? We all do. But we must work on it.
Play the “One Time” game again… but this time tell ways that you could be better at those words.
The trick is to make these words ACTIONS… not just words.
Set a GOAL that this week you are going to work on this verse, trying your best. {make a 1-10 chart on the board. Write where their “Love Showing level” Is this week… the goal is to try and get it up by next week}
HOMEWORK:
Read Bible, pray, and journal every day. Work on your Goal.
