Nothing's Too Hard for God

The Holy Spirit gives us joy

 

 

Acts 13:52

And the believers were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.

THE HOLY SPIRIT GIVES YOU JOY!!!

One day God called a meeting in heaven. Everyone was there, all the angels were there and satan came too. God asked satan what he'd been doing and Satan said "aww just going here and there watching what all Is goin on." God asked satan if he'd noticed Job... God bragged on Job.

 

Sabeans killed all the farmers and stole all the animals.

Fire fell from the sky and burnt up all the sheep and the shepherds.

Chaldean raidars stole the camels and killed the servants.

Wind made the house collapse and it killed all his children

AS IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH!!!

Satan struck Job with terrible boils from head to foot!

This doesn't sound like a "joy story" does it?? And you know that everyone had something to say about what was goin on. And everyone had their own judgements on why this was happening to Job.

God told Job to pray for his friends... And when he did God restored everything he had PLUS a lot more!!!

The Lord blessed Job in the second half of his life even more than in the beginning.

14,000 sheep

6,000 camels

1,000 teams of oxen

1,000 female donkeys

7 sons

3 daughters

He lived to see 4 generations of children and grandchildren. And he lived 140 years after his blessing

Sometimes we have to put ourselves aside. Job could have instead of praying for his friends to be forgiven of being judgmental, he could have just prayed for himself some more. But the power of the Holy Spirit to help him allowed him to pray for his friends. That had to be a hard thing to do. Could you have done that?? Sometimes we have to lay ourselves down in order to receive our blessing... which is hard if we don't ask the Holy Spirit to help us.

 

Find something and everyone draw a smily face on it. Write somewhere on it something or someone that gives you joy. Go around the room and take turns giving thanks to God for the thing that you wrote.

If we show we're thankful, God will bless us with more!!
