Nothing's Too Hard for God

Be Honorable

HONOR

Write this word on the white board… let

Everyone know this is the word of the day.

What do you think about when you hear this

word??

What are some words that are like or mean the

same thing as “honor-able” {write all answers on

white board}

What does it mean to honor someone?

When are special times when we honor people?

What makes people worth honoring?

Psalm 15 (New Living Translation

Psalm 15

A psalm of David.

1 Who may worship in your sanctuary, Lord?

Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?

2 Those who lead blameless lives and do what is

right,

speaking the truth from sincere hearts.

3 Those who refuse to gossip

or harm their neighbors

or speak evil of their friends.

4 Those who despise flagrant sinners,

and honor the faithful followers of the Lord,

and keep their promises even when it hurts.

5 Those who lend money without charging

interest,

and who cannot be bribed to lie about the

innocent.

Such people will stand firm forever.

Read each verse one by one and talk about it…

talk about things that we do that would make us

line up with this scripture and things we do that

make us not.

Why is it important that we worship in the Lords

sanctuary?

What are things we could do that would help us

line up with this scripture?

*Everyone gets to put their footprints on

posterboard as a symbol of standing firm forever

{vs. 5}

HOMEWORK:

Read scripture this week {psalm 15}. Read your

bible everyday. Pray everyday. Journal everyday.

* I was sick so I didn't get to teach this yesterday :'[ But Dustin and

Jennifer [ my co-teacher and my sub] Said it was very good.

They used washable crayola paint and mini poster board for the

footprints [ this stuff is awesome it comes right out of the carpet!] But

if you're not that brave I suggest having them take off thier socks

and you tracing their feet and letting them color it when

you're done.
