The Holy Spirit calls you
Acts 13:1-3
1 Among the prophets and teachers of the church at Antioch of Syria were Barnabas, Simeon (called "the black man", Lucius (from Cyrene), Manaen (the childhood companion of King Herod Antipas, and Saul. 2 One day as these men were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Dedicate Barnabas and Saul for the special work to which I have called them." 3 So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them and sent them on their way.
- What do you want to be when you get older?
- Why do you want to do that?
- Would you be willing to give that up if the Holy Spirit asked you to be something for Him?.... Like... a missionary, a pastor, or an evangelist?
- Read Scripture
- Barnabas and Saul weren't planning on exactly this... But when the Holy Spirit called them, they responded to the call.
- What would have happened if Barnabas and Saul wouldn't have been ready or willing?
- Saul and Barnabas has already been ministering, The bible says that God called them to a "special work" which was apparently different them what they had been doing.
- What if you were in their shoes.. What would you do?
