Be Perfect
Go over the past 3 lessons and talk
about what they’ve learned.
·
Be prayed up·
Be prepared· Be honorable
Talk about their homework… things they
found difficult and things they did well
with.
Explain that all the things we’ve
learned and worked on help us to be
perfect “as God is perfect.”
MATTHEW 5:43-48
43 “You have heard the law that says,
‘Love your neighbor’[r] and hate yourenemy. 44 But I say, love your
enemies![s] Pray for those who persecuteyou! 45 In that way, you will be acting
as true children of your Father in
heaven. For he gives his sunlight to
both the evil and the good, and he sends
rain on the just and the unjust alike.
46 If you love only those who love you,
what reward is there for that? Even
corrupt tax collectors do that much. 47
If you are kind only to your friends,[t]how are you different from anyone else?
Even pagans do that. 48 But you are to
be perfect, even as your Father in
heaven is perfect.
If we do all of the things that we have
talked about… we will please our Father
because that is what He wants us to do.
Being perfect isn’t a overnight thing…
we HAVE to WORK at it. Just like we have
homework in school and Sunday School. It
is important that we do it so that we
learn all that we can.
You all did great on your homework!!! :]
Play whatever games they want to that
we’ve played in the past three lessons
as a reminder of what we’ve learned.
HOMEWORK:
Read Matthew 5:43-48 this week and write
in your journals what it means to you
and how you can apply it to your life.
If you have and questions talk to mom
and dad… they would love to help. Write
Matthew 5:48 every day in your journal.
Write in your journal every day. Pray
every day. Read your bible every day.
See you next week!!!
FOOTNOTE: This is the end of our "BE" section.. make it
kindof like a big party.. because doing that much
homework and doing well in class deserves a party!
