Nothing's Too Hard for God

Be Prayed up

Lesson Plan

Opening Verse:

Jeremiah 29:13- If you look for me

wholeheartedly, you will find me.

James 5:13-16

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray.

Are any of you happy? You should sing praises.

Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of

the church to come and pray over you, anointing you

with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered

in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you

well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be

forgiven, Confess your sins to each other and pray for

each other so that you may be healed. The earnest

prayer of a righteous person has great power and

produces wonderful results.

*Human Robot activity

God wants us to give Him heartfelt prayers, telling

Him everything. Were not to just repeat prayers we’ve

heard like a robot, but to pray to God in a way where it

comes from our hearts, not from momma and daddy’s

heart.

*Popcorn activity

Our relationship with God is similar to this game we

just played. The further away from each other, the

harder it was to catch the popcorn. Likewise, the

further we are from God, the harder it is to have a

relationship with God. On the other hand, the closer

we are to God, the easier it will be to have a strong

relationship with Him. How do we get close to God?

We can get closer to God by reading the Bible,

praying, and fasting.

*Paper activity

Ask which things would be more important than the

others. Ask which one would be more useful for

talking to God.

God wants to hear from us more than before

meals and at bedtime, He wants to be part of our

lives.

Homework:

Read James 5:13-18. Write in your journals

about what you think these scriptures mean.

APPLY the scriptures…. Follow the instructions

in the verses and see if you feel better, and get

closer with God. Write down scripture verse

everyday so you will remember it (Jer. 29:13)

Write down when you used the instructions and

how it did or didn’t change situations.
